Wild Splendor

The flower tattoo was done on a really nice Japanese tourist, right by an awesome tiger by Daniel Albrigo. It’s always intimidating to do a tattoo right by one that was done by one of your favorite tattooers. A lot of that has been happening lately, which I am very grateful for.

The deer head on James goes around a “57” that was hand poked. I imagine it was in a punk squat, or something like the foot clan’s hideout in the first Ninja Turtles movie. Either way I’m almost positive there were 12 year olds smoking cigarettes there.

The black cat is on another traveler who was passing through town. He came in on one of my walk-in Saturdays, and I was happy to take a break from upside-down script on wrists and tiny bird silhouettes. I’m lucky that the tattoo doesn’t look too angry in the photo because its in the ditch of his knee. I would love to do more black cats.
